======Alternative History====== The study of //alternative history// involves taking a fresh look at what we are often told about historical events, with the understanding that //conventional history// is often wrong, due to a variety of factors. With this perspective, we are not limited to the conclusions of academics and textbooks; but can reach our own conclusions, based on the use of our own critical thinking skills. History is rarely conclusive. New evidence is always being found or resurfacing after having originally been ignored, glanced over or purposefully distorted for political reasons. Often, the only historians willing to make the necessary revisions are revisionists, while more //status quo// researchers will often wait until enough others in the field adopt the same conclusions, to change their stance. Still, there are other events that remain misunderstood by academia indefinitely. --- --- ----category--- --- ---- List of all categories
