//Operation Northwoods// is a declassified proposal, formerly classified [[TopSecret | top secret]] by the [[UnitedStates | United States]] in 1962 to commit a series of [[FalseFlag | False Flag]] attacks and blame them on Cuba.  The goal was to start a war with Cuba, by fooling the American public in to thinking that Cuba had attacked them.

The documents stated:


	The desired resultant from the execution of this plan would be to place the United States in the apparent position of suffering defensible grievances from a rash and irresponsible government of Cuba and to develop an international image of a Cuban threat to peace in the Western Hemisphere.
