Iron Tooth (鐵齒) — Six-Harmony Mantis
On this page
鐵齒 (Tiě Chǐ, "Iron Tooth" — also 鐵刺 "Iron Thorn" / 鐵叉手) is the first of the six core sequences (六趟) of Six-Harmony Praying Mantis in the 張詳三 (Zhang Xiangsan) Taiwan line. It is the entry form, installing the branch's soft-entry-then-hidden-hard method and its core hand vocabulary: the throat-lock (鎖口), the three-grab mantis (三把螳螂), the trigger-release hand (撥機手), and the rolling-linking hand (轉連手).
What it trains
鎖口 (throat-lock) — the branch's signature seizing-and-shutting entry
三把螳螂 — the "three-grab" mantis hands that recur through the curriculum
Soft contact, hidden hardness — yielding on touch, the power released from within
The shared closing — like all six sequences, it ends 進步跺腳 → 破膝 → 掛耳圈
Full posture script — 32 postures
The posture-name list (鐵齒) from the 張詳三 (Zhang Xiangsan) → 陳威伸 Taiwan Six-Harmony lineage, as published on the lineage site 6h-mantis.org, reproduced under fair-use citation; the English are the wiki's own working glosses. Six-Harmony movement names are descriptive and run longer than the tight four-character Seven-Star style.

Place in the curriculum
The 張詳三 Taiwan line teaches its empty-hand art as six core sequences (六趟) — 鐵齒 · 善手奔 · 鏡裡藏花 · 截手圈 · 葉底藏花 · 雙封 — alongside 六合短捶 and 六合拳. This is the first of the six. All six core sequences share the same closing run: 進步跺腳 → 破膝 → 掛耳圈.
