Hidden Flower in the Mirror (鏡裡藏花) — Six-Harmony Mantis
On this page
鏡裡藏花 (Jìnglǐ Cáng Huā, "Hidden Flower in the Mirror") is the third core sequence of Six-Harmony Praying Mantis (張詳三 line). The poetic name — a flower seen in a mirror, present yet untouchable — captures the branch's method of concealment and sudden revelation: the hidden-flower hand (藏花手) and trigger-release (撥機手), the eye-dotting strike (點睛), and the leaking circling punch (底漏圈捶).
What it trains
藏花手 (hidden-flower hand) — concealing the real attack behind a feint
點睛 (dot-the-eye) and 撩陰 (rising groin) — precise small-target strikes
底漏 (low-leaking) — slipping the hand underneath to circle up
The shared closing — 進步跺腳 → 破膝 → 掛耳圈

Place in the curriculum
The 張詳三 Taiwan line teaches its empty-hand art as six core sequences (六趟) — 鐵齒 · 善手奔 · 鏡裡藏花 · 截手圈 · 葉底藏花 · 雙封 — alongside 六合短捶 and 六合拳. This is the third of the six. All six core sequences share the same closing run: 進步跺腳 → 破膝 → 掛耳圈.
