Charging the Four Directions (四路奔打拳) — Seven Star Mantis
On this page
四路奔打拳 (Sìlù Bēndǎ Quán, "Charging the Four Directions") is one of the longest Seven Star core forms — 59 postures in the canon of Wong Hon Fan (黃漢勛), Luo Guangyu line. The name is the strategy: 四路 ("four roads / four directions") + 奔打 ("charging-and-striking") — the form drives outward along the four compass lines, wheeling and turning at each corner (旋轉, 轉身, 翻身) to charge afresh into a new direction with the branch's chopping, governing, and crushing methods.
